Case Studies

Some of our projects.

We've converted real buildings, in New England winters, for housing authorities managing some of the most complex properties in the region. Here's what that looks like.

What made it possible

No construction, no electrical upgrades, and no disruption to residents' daily lives. Envr Air's logistics model — purpose-built for rapid multifamily deployment — enabled a 30-minute installation per unit across a fully occupied 15-story building.

Floor-by-floor resident meetings and advance notices made the process smooth from day one. For the first time in the building's 50+ year history, every resident has year-round heating and cooling they control themselves.

Full-service summer cooling at Ivy League scale

Each summer, Brown University fills its dormitories with a 6-week summer program — and the buildings need reliable cooling for thousands of students and guests. RentAnAC (Envr Air's sister company) handles the entire cycle: we procure the units, unpackage and stage them, install 2,000+ portable ACs across campus in two weeks, and provide daily on-call service for the duration of the program. When the program ends, we remove every unit in two weeks flat.

It's a complete logistics package — procurement, installation, service, and removal — and it's the kind of operational discipline that universities trust us with year after year.

Why it matters

Summer heat is a genuine safety concern for residents and guests in older campus buildings. Our seasonal deployment ensures reliable cooling from day one, every year, without disruption to university operations.

The program runs on a tight seasonal timeline, completed cumulatively in about a week. Funded through pass-through revenue, the program runs at little direct cost burden to the university and has for over a decade.
